This type of eyeliner brush looks like a mini paint brush you would use to paint a wall.
To use this type of liner brush: Holding the brush vertical, dip the tip of the bristles on the powder eyeshadow. You only want the product on the tips of the liner brush. This ensures a clean line. Line your eye by dotting or carefully touching the liner across your lash line. Work from the inner corner of your eye, outward. For your lower lash line work from the outer corner of your eye, inward.
Type of liners to use with this type of liner brush: Powder shadows and powder eyeliner products
Good For: Creating soft lines, that blend easily. Smokey eyes
Not so Good for: Cat eyes, liner that extends past the outer corners of the eyes or with liquid eyeliners.

This type of eyeliner brush has long (sometimes short), thin bristles
To use this type of liner brush: Gently sweep the brush along the liner product and remove any excess. A piece of foil works great if working with a liquid liner. It's best to look at the eye in 3 parts: the middle, inner corner and outer corners. Start at middle, do inner next then outer corner last.. Starting more towards the inner corner, middle of the eye, sweep the brush along the lash line working to outer corner. Go back and Apply color to inner corner of eye lash line. If extending liner past outer corner of the eye, do this step last.
Type of liners to use with this type of liner brush: Powder shadows and powder eyeliner products and liquid liners
Good For: Creating strong lines, especially with liquid eye liner. Cat eyes. Lines that extend past outer corner
Not so Good for: This type of brush works best with liquid liners as opposed to powder eye liner shadows.
