Cream eyeshadows add more pigment that the typical powder shadows. They give a much deeper color base creating a more dramatic eye makeup application. Generally, it's best to use just one shade of cream shadow and use as the base color. A cream eyeshadow used as a base for powder shadows gives more color depth and gives the powder something to cling to.
It's best to apply with either your fingertips or a concealer brush. The heat of your fingertips will make it a bit easier to get the color to spread and blend across your eyelids, brow bones and crease area.
Always apply any type of powder shadow after you apply the cream base. Cream on top of powder will create a bumpy mess out of your application. If you use mineral powder foundation, skip adding this to your lid area or dust on top of the finished shadow.
